For helpers

How can I help someone directly?

With PayPlea you read a real person’s reviewed request and send help through their own external payment link, without a traditional crowdfunding campaign in the middle. Registration stays simple: name, email, password confirmation and human verification.

Is there an app to help people with bills?

Yes — helping with household essentials such as an electricity bill is one of the situations PayPlea was designed for. You choose the request, the amount and the provider. PayPlea does not sit between you and the recipient; it shows the recipient’s own link and records the outcome privately.

How do I support a person without a crowdfunding campaign?

Instead of paying into a platform-held fund, you pay the person directly with a provider you both use. Read direct help vs crowdfunding for a side-by-side comparison.

Before you send money

  • Check that the recipient name shown by the provider matches the request.
  • Read the provider’s own fees, limits and protections. They vary by country and account.
  • Some person-to-person transfers are hard or impossible to reverse. Only send what you are comfortable giving.
  • Never move the conversation off PayPlea because someone pressures you to.

No recovery promise

PayPlea cannot reverse, refund or recover a transfer made with an external provider. Contact the provider directly if something goes wrong, and report the request in the app.

Your privacy as a helper

Your receipt is private. Use the crop and conceal tools to hide account numbers, addresses and other details before uploading. Learn how in protecting private details on receipts.

Recognition, not rankings

Community achievements recognise positive participation. They never make a request more visible and are not a measure of how much someone gave.
